As fall and colder weather start to settle in, classes start to get busier, and it’s getting dark by the time you’re off work- it can be hard to find motivation to get out of the house. Why not find a fun sporting event happening in Kamloops this month to go see!

Use our legend to see when your favourite sports teams are playing! Looking to find more information on the events? Keep scrolling to see why you should attend.

Blue: The Kamloops Blazers hockey team play their home games at the Sandman Centre, and this arena has big energy to keep you on your toes. Coming to a Blazers game is a fun opportunity to take advantage of the food and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) you can purchase, and it’s the perfect excuse for a good night out. Tickets are just under $30, but there are great deals for students, families and groups. Come see them October 18th, 21st, 22nd and 28th.

Red: If you can’t get enough of hockey from the Blazers, come out to support the Kamloops Storm team on October 22nd, 23rd and 29th at the McArthur Park Arena. Put on some layers for the chilly arena, bring cash for popcorn, and have a great time! Students and children have discounted rates, and regular adult tickets are only $12.

Purple: Interested in a high intensity low cost event that will keep you on the edge of your seat? TRU’s women’s soccer team will do just that. Watch them go head to head with Canada West on October 22 and the 29th. If you are a student, make sure to bring your ID card to get in for free, and general adults are only $10.

Grey: If you find yourself craving more of the action, the TRU mens soccer team will be competing in the quarter finals on October 28th. With the same free deal for students and cheap adult ticket prices, the only thing holding you back is how fast you can get in the stands and lay down your blanket to keep warm!

Yellow: Are you a basketball fan? Then come to Tournament Capital Centre on October 28, 2022 to watch TRU Wolfpack Men’s Basketball take on Las Vegas Travel Team in an epic match. Once again, student tickets are free and adult tickets are $10. So don’t miss out on this epic and intense match!

Black: For all the volleyball enthusiasts, make sure you’re at the Tournament Capital Centre on October 21st and 22nd to see the TRU men’s volleyball team face the Brandon Bobcats. Student tickets are free as always with your ID card! TCC is an indoor venue that is wheelchair accessible, heated, and has washrooms nearby, so it is ready for everyone to attend!

Orange: Before seeing the men’s volleyball games, come to the Tournament Capital Centre for the TRU women’s volleyball games! Same ticket prices, and you’ll be sure to be kept on the edge of your seat! Extra tip: bring some coins to grab snacks at the vending machines.
